MISSION
The mission of the JJG STEaM Foundation, Inc. a non-profit 501c3 organization is to create and foster a learning environment that inspires students to pursue future careers in the areas of science, technology, engineering, arts or math. In addition, the foundation provides support to graduating seniors that plan to major in those fields.

DR. JOY JACKSON-GUILFORD Founder/Executive Director


Dr. Joy Jackson-Guilford is a servant leader, community advocate, and retired pharmaceutical executive with a distinguished 28-year career spanning project management, medical/clinical affairs, and human resources at organizations including AbbVie, Abbott Laboratories, Johnson & Johnson, and Eli Lilly and Company. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Morris Brown College and both her Master’s and PhD in Pharmacology/Toxicology from Florida A&M University.
Following her retirement from AbbVie as Director of Diversity Hiring Enablement in Talent Acquisition, she now leads with passion and purpose as the founder of Precious Solemates, a children’s boutique offering curated, classic, and comfortable footwear, and the JJG STEaM Foundation, Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to inspiring students to pursue careers in STEM, which has awarded over $45,000 in scholarships. She also serves as Chief Product Education Officer for IQV Nexus, a biopharmaceutical lab.
A committed civic leader, she serves in leadership roles within several organizations. Dr. Jackson-Guilford is the recipient of numerous honors recognizing her impact in community service and leadership, and she is devoted to ensuring her life’s work reflects a legacy of service, passion, and purpose.
